As part of the Wednesday evening Vendor Hospitality event during the recently concluded conference and equipment show, the fourth Stellar Vendor Award was presented to a most deserving member. This award is the highest honor the MSA bestows upon a vendor member of the organization.
As everyone enjoyed food and refreshments, last year’s winner from Dispensing Technology Corp. (DTC), Ben Howseman, began the ceremony by giving an overview of all of the nominee’s background and qualifications.
Since the first award was presented in 2014, the lineup of nominees has been a who’s-who of Vendor members. This year three outstanding individuals were nominated from chapters from throughout the MSA. Frank Wheeler III, Municipal Maintenance Equipment, Michele Burt, Powerland Equipment Inc. and Joseph Fouret, Precision Concrete Cutting were this year’s choices.
As the envelope was opened, Ben happily called Joseph Fouret forward to accept the award for 2017. Joe was nominated by the North Central Valley chapter, where he has been a very active member for the past twelve years. He served as the chapter’s Board Secretary for three years. Since 2014 he has been an EBoard member. He is currently the Northern Vendor Representative.
Joe has been the co-owner of the Northern California franchise of Precision Concrete Cutting, beginning in 2003. Along with his MSA involvement, he also spends time coaching Little League Baseball and supporting numerous fund-raising events with both time and resources.
Congratulations to Joe and all the other nominees. Your dedication to the Maintenance Superintendents Association is a model for others to follow!
